most places you have to be over 18 yrs old and have id to purchase spray cans. if youre under 18 or dont know how to use spray paint, then go for permanent markers or acrylic paint markers
scope out the place you want to tag before you actually paint it. get an idea of any surveillance (cameras, security guards, locals) and what the best time is for you to come back. get in and out quickly. a clear message is more important than it looking pretty.
wear dark or plain clothes. hide any tattoos/piercings/identifying features (including hair).
wear a mask to protect your breathing when being near paint fumes
make things with your hands or with your computer. be self reliant and ungovernable to liberate others
like graffiti, stickers get people's attention and cost time and money to remove
you can buy sticker paper of all kinds from stationary stores and sometimes places like kmart. make sure you know what kind of sticker paper it is (vinyl is best because its waterproof). some sticker paper you can load into an inkjet printer for more detailed designs like qr codes
you can also order custom stickers online at places like vistaprint
you can make patches at any skill level
if you can sew and embroider then youre already good to go
if you cant and dont want to, its easy to cut up old clothes into squares of fabric and paint on them with fabric paint, normal paint, or even bleach
like with graffiti, the message is more important than the aesthetic. if you can make it look good then great. but regardless you should have a clear message
zine is short for maga'zine', and is an artform that was designed to be quick and easy to produce and distribute

attend local protests. connect with other marginalised groups in your area and find out what theyre doing
practice mutual aid and basic human decency. help old ladies cross the street (im not joking)
carry cash so you can give it to homeless people
keep yourself and your comrades safe
recognise that some of us are more at risk than others. if you are white and your comrade is black, make yourself a human shield between them and racist aggressors.
